Member of OT Australia
“The best thing about being an OT is the holistic, client-centred nature of our practice. We take the time to really listen to our clients, to find out their stories and the meaning behind the activities that are important to them, then use this information and our clinical skills to help them achieve their goals.”
Clare has over 12 years’ experience as an occupational therapist, and has worked within hospital, outpatient, community, and private practice settings. Her work has primarily been with adult populations, with individuals experiencing orthopaedic, neurological, and burns conditions and injuries.
Clare has expertise in clinical education, having taught students in clinical, simulation and university settings. She is also a mentor to new graduate and experienced occupational therapists as part of OT Australia’s MentorLink program. Clare has a strong interest in research and quality improvement, mostly within the areas of burns and clinical education, and has published and presented her work at an international level.
