Earning Capacity Assessments, multidisciplinary expert allied health assessments based on standardised testing, to enable sound decision making.

Vocational assessment

A vocational assessment is an objective evaluation of an individual’s inherent and transferable skills, capacity, employment experiences and vocational goals, to inform recommendations about sustainable and suitable job options.

Functional Capacity Evaluation

A functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is a series of tests that measure an individual’s ability to perform the physical demands of a particular job or determine alternate suitable or light duties consistent with their abilities following injury and / or medical leave.

Functional Cognitive Assessment

A carefully designed assessment to test for memory, concentration, problem solving, organizing and planning to determine the presence of cognitive barriers to everyday task performance (e.g., self-care, household management, childcare, workplace tasks).

ADL Assessment

An activities of daily living (ADL) assessment analyses functional performance in the areas of personal self-care, day-to-day activities in and around the home and in the community, and recreational and social activities.

ADL / Home assessment

An activities of daily living (ADL) assessment which specifically analyses functional performance in the home environment in the areas of personal self-care, domestic chores, household management, property maintenance and home office (if applicable).

Off Road (Clinical) Driving Assessment

An objective, evidence-based assessment of an individual’s fitness to drive a vehicle compliant with their existing or proposed drivers licence. This assessment determines whether deficits in vision, cognitive and/or physical capacity impact the individual’s capacity to drive safely and provides guidance regarding equipment, modifications and specialist driving techniques.

Home modification

To enable individuals to live safely and independently in their own home by modifying the home to create an environment that maximises the person’s independence and safety. Modifications range from a basic (such as grab-rails, ramps, raising whitegood, step-wedges and widening doorways) to the complex (internal/external lifts, stair lifts, bathroom and kitchen modifications).

Worksite Assessment

A worksite assessment ensures a safe and sustainable return to (or continuation of) work performance by identifying suitable work duties across the domains of physical, psychosocial, cognitive and communication and minimising risk through environmental, work method or job redesign.

Job Preparation Assistance

Supporting individuals with job identification, job seeking and job placement. May involve resume review / development, advice on injury disclosure techniques, interview skills training, job search skills and job searching, job applications, research and enrolment into retraining courses and preparation for their new job.

Office Ergonomic Assessment

Pre-Employment Functional Assessment

PEFA’s provide objective information specific to an individual’s ability to perform the job consistent with current anti-discrimination legislation. Employers should ensure they match workers (capability) and their tasks (job) in a non-discriminatory way whilst protecting employee’s health and well-being.

Initial Needs Assessment

INAs identify barriers to recovery at an early stage.  Physical and psychological injuries are evaluated alongside psychosocial factors to establish clear and achievable treatment and intervention goals for optimum recovery and return to quality of life.

Job Dictionary

Job dictionaries are a useful tool for identifying suitable duties that can be performed whilst recovering from an injury or as a pre-employment screen tool. Job dictionaries are an essential communication aid for recruitment or new employees or rehabilitation of existing employees whilst recuperating from or adjusting to an injury or condition.

Cognitive and aptitude testing

Specialised tests used to assess an individual’s cognitive aptitudes and personal work style. Assists in determining whether a client has the cognitive abilities to transfer into an alternate occupation, or has the capacity to participate in retraining.

Psychological and personality profiling

Sometimes referred to as psychometric testing or psychological profiling – is a means of measuring an individual’s personality in a particular situation. It is not a measure of intelligence or ability – but of behaviour. Test results are collated and analysed to guide successful matching of the person and the job.
