Occupational Therapist
Rachel Noonan
BA/LLB (Hons), MOccThySt
"As an Occupational Therapist, I am committed to adopting a holistic approach, thoroughly understanding each client’s daily experiences and environment. I prioritise working within their unique context and strengths to support them in achieving meaningful participation and their personal goals."
Rachel began her occupational therapy career working with clients across the lifespan in community settings. In this diverse role, she conducted comprehensive home and functional assessments, provided ongoing therapy, and prescribed assistive technology. Her experience with clients facing mental health challenges, physical impairments, and age-related functional decline has equipped her with broad expertise across a wide range of functional presentations.
Since relocating to Brisbane’s south in 2022, Rachel has worked primarily in a private paediatric clinic, supporting children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families to build functional capacity within meaningful occupational roles. Rachel is passionate about mentoring the next generation of occupational therapists, fostering evidence-based, family-centred care that recognises the profound impact of disability on clients’ daily lives, emotional wellbeing, and family dynamics.
