Medicolegal Reports
At MLEA, we understand the complexities involved in an occupational therapy medicolegal assessment. Our objective at MLEA is to ensure our clients receive the fairest outcome through the course of personal injury proceedings. Our medicolegal reports have been developed over years of practise, and in consultation with barristers, solicitors, insurers and trustees, to ensure our report provides the highest level of value. Our reports are designed to ensure clarity of interpretation and alignment with the heads of damages relevant to your client’s case.
We understand different cases have different needs, requirements and budgets. Drawing on our years of experience, we have developed a suite of assessments and reports to suit every case, ranging from those which accommodate common injuries and legislation, up to the rarest or most unusual cases. We are fortunate to work with a team of occupational therapist Experts who collectively possess expertise across all injuries and medical conditions, including common injuries such as musculoskeletal or orthopaedic conditions, and uncommon conditions such as primary psychological injuries, paediatric injuries, medical diseases (e.g. multiple sclerosis), and catastrophic injuries (e.g. brain injuries, neurological disorders, spinal injuries, amputations).
Our most popular report types include our standard and comprehensive reports. These reports can be requested in a range of formats, accommodating your specific case needs and requirements (e.g. assessment of care needs or work capacity alone, or combined assessment of care needs and work capacity). Our standard reports are generally preferred for clients who have sustained milder injuries, or if your personal preference for report style is a more summarised format. Our comprehensive reports allow for the naturally increased level of detail and analysis typically required for moderate to severe injuries.
We additionally offer specific reports for Total and Permanent Disability assessments, dust diseases, institutionalised abuse, NDIA assessments, home modifications, initial needs assessments, and catastrophic injuries. If you require a specific type of report or are unsure of the most suitable report to request for your case, please call our office at any time and we would be more than happy to discuss this with you directly.
