HOW WE CAN HELP?
Why choose MLEA?
The mission of MLEA's paediatric service is to provide occupational therapy intervention, support and ongoing care to children between the ages of three and eighteen.
We aim to provide up-to-date and evidence-based interventions for our patients and assist families and carers in their day-to-day function, independence and quality of life. We want all children and families we work with to make progress towards their goals and engage in the activities that are important and meaningful to them.
WHy telehealth?
Our Paediatric OT will tailor each appointment to your child's individual needs and goals, with the session taking place via telehealth on Microsoft Teams. Telehealth provides a convenient and flexible way for families to access quality Occupational Therapy without the need to travel or be face to face. For most children, the comfort of a familiar space, can be extremely beneficial for the outcome of each therapy session.
Telehealth allows MLEA to see paediatric clients located anywhere, Australia-wide.
Our OT Approach
Teamwork and clear lines of communication with our clients, their family, the broader healthcare team and stakeholders of each individual are fundamental to how we operate here at MLEA.
We take a holistic, individualised, and client-centred approach to intervention and we aim to provide timely and practical advice and solutions for treatment and management to both the child and their parents. We want to help your child to become as independent as possible, as soon as possible.
